These terms govern your use of the services provided by Winding Way Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”), including our iOS applications (All American Roads, NYC Stories, Winding Way, and Travel Buddy) and our websites (including windingway.fly.dev, allamericanroads.com, and nystories.app) — collectively, “the Services.” By using the Services, you agree to these terms.
The Services provide audio stories, narrative content, and location-based storytelling about places. All content — including historical narratives, cultural commentary, geological descriptions, and place descriptions — is produced for informational and entertainment purposes only.
Travel Buddy is a separate app that provides an AI-powered voice guide using Google’s Gemini AI. Travel Buddy’s responses are AI-generated and subject to the accuracy limitations described below.
Our editorial pipeline includes research, fact-checking, and review. However, content may contain inaccuracies, errors, omissions, or outdated information. This includes but is not limited to:
You must independently verify all information — especially safety-critical details — through official sources before making travel decisions.
The Services contain editorial content that reflects the perspectives, interpretations, and opinions of our editorial team. Historical narratives, cultural commentary, and place descriptions may emphasize certain perspectives or simplify complex events. Editorial content represents opinion and interpretation, not established fact.
The Services are not a substitute for safe driving practices. Do not interact with the Services while operating a vehicle. Audio features are designed for hands-free listening. Pull over before using any interactive features.
Travel involves inherent risks. You are solely responsible for verifying all travel conditions, road closures, weather hazards, permit requirements, and safety information using official and authoritative sources.
Premium content is available through purchases made via Apple’s App Store. Pricing, payment processing, and refunds are governed by Apple’s terms. We do not collect or store payment information. No account or login is required to use the Services or make purchases.
All content in the Services — including audio stories, narrative text, and editorial materials — is owned by or licensed to Winding Way Labs LLC and is protected by copyright. You may use this content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT (A) THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE; (B) ANY CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR RELIABLE; (C) TRAVEL CONDITIONS DESCRIBED IN THE SERVICES WILL REFLECT ACTUAL CONDITIONS AT THE TIME OF YOUR TRAVEL; OR (D) THE SERVICES WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.
TRAVEL INVOLVES INHERENT RISKS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ADVERSE WEATHER, HAZARDOUS ROAD OR TRAIL CONDITIONS, WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS, EQUIPMENT FAILURE, AND REMOTE LOCATIONS WITH LIMITED EMERGENCY SERVICES. YOU ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR TRAVEL AND USE THE SERVICES ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WINDING WAY LABS LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO:
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50.00), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Winding Way Labs LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from (a) your use of the Services; (b) your violation of these terms; (c) travel decisions you make based on content in the Services; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or on this page. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
